Biography
Prior to joining Wenzhou-Kean University, Bo Li is an Associate Professor and former Academic Director at the Ningbo China Institute for Supply Chain Innovation, a member of the MIT Global SCALE Network, and a Research Affiliate at the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics. He was a visiting scholar at MIT in 2017 and 2020. Before entering academia, he worked as a manufacturing design engineer at KLA-Tencor in Singapore. He is an editorial review board member at Decision Sciences and Management Review. He has received a general program grant from National Natural Science Foundation of China, a grant from Zhejiang Province Qianjiang Talent Program, two grants from Ningbo Municipal Natural Science Foundation, and two grants from the Social Science Alliance of Ningbo. He has received Scientific Advancement Award (2nd level) from China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
Research Interest
His research examines decision making in operations and supply chain management, with particular emphasis on production and inventory systems, supply uncertainty, risk management, and digital services. His work has appeared in journals including Production and Operations Management, International Journal of Production Economics, IISE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, and European Journal of Operational Research. His research also extends to cloud and edge computing, supply chain digitalization, healthcare operations, and empirical supply chain problems.
