Biography

During his over 20 years in China, Mr. Velinov has witnessed the vast changes within the country and its role in the international system. He has helped many Chinese and foreign enterprises with their cross border investments, often from an early stage – including educating decision makers about viable opportunities and regions of high potential, coordinating the creation of a deal support team through to closing the deal. He has helped law firms leverage their client resources to promote cross selling and cooperate with other service providers and domestic and foreign government entities to maximize deal outcomes. He has a strong interest in China’s Belt and Road initiative, its spillovers and the 17+1 group of countries and have done extensive work to popularize them to potential investors, including by helping produce TV programs on related opportunities.
