Biography

Before joining WKU, Prof. Liu was an Assistant Professor in Business Department and School for Tourism and Hotel Management at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

Her teaching experience covers Financial Accounting at various levels, Financial Statement Analysis and Thesis Research at undergraduate levels.

Research Interests

Dr. Liu’s research interests cover the fields of Financial Accounting and Applied Econometrics in accounting research, focusing on capital markets research in accounting such as earnings management, conservatism, corporate governance, and market efficiency. She has also an interest in Financial Econometrics.

She was the director of the Student Partnering with Faculty (SpF) Research Program Sponsored Project (WKU201819014). Currently, she is the director of the funded International Collaborative Research Program (ICRP202207).

She has been joining the team of research projects led by Dr. Juan Manuel García Lara with WRDS access support from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Her research is funded by The Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and The Government of Comunidad de Madrid.
