Biography
Prof. Somkiat Mansumitrchai has twenty-three years of teaching experience in six countries (U.S.A, Thailand, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, South Korea and China). He has taught in both undergraduate and master degrees. He also was advisor of Ph.D. program for Thai universities. Before he joined the academic field, he was a CEO of Thai companies. He was also a business consultant for Thai companies. He received a scholarship from the University of Texas-Pan American for four years for his Ph.D.
Teaching Courses
He has taught more than twenty different business courses from the year 1996-2019. The areas of teaching are marketing, management, quantitative analysis, international business, international marketing and management.
Courses taught at WKU are Principles of Marketing, Business Statistics, International Management, Services Marketing, and Strategic Marketing.
Research interests
Dr. Somkiat Mansumitrchai is an Assistant Professor of Marketing and Management at Wenzhou-Kean University. His works were published in journals such as International Journal Financial Services, International Journal Electronic Finance, Asia Marketing Journal, International Journal of Commerce and Management, International Journal of Business and Management and International Journal of Management and Marketing Research. He also presented papers at AMA (American Marketing Association), BALLAS and SWAFAD conferences. His research areas are in M&A, strategic alliances, internet banking and social network.
