Dr. Michael (Tony) Ryan is an accomplished academic and industry professional with over 20 years of experience in teaching and educational management, as well as more than 15 years of industry expertise. He has held leadership roles in international higher education, particularly within Sino-foreign joint ventures in China, including Head of Department at the Sino-British College (Shanghai) of Sheffield Hallam University, and currently teaches Global Business at Wenzhou-Kean University.

His academic career has focused on business, management, and leadership education, with a strong emphasis on student engagement, curriculum innovation, and fostering global perspectives. Beyond academia, Dr. Ryan’s professional background includes extensive experience in sales and sales management for a Fortune 500 company, as well as over three years in the cruise industry, which sparked his enduring research interest in tourism and service industries.
